Breathing On Her Own - Day 12
I'm finding it difficult to put into words just how BAD these few weeks were after Sister's accident.
There are still too many injuries to list.
Lots of quiet time!
Sister was in the 'about to die' ICU for ~14 days. We spend the next few weeks in the next step down ICUs.
We have several hurdles to jump over regarding insurance. What is it going to take to get her to next recovery care?
New issues of concern:
- Eye sight is getting worse
- They still do not know what kind of blood infection she has
- She needs surgery on her left leg wound
- Ortho Drs tell us she will be 60 DAYS Non-weight bearing! (Drs put two steel rods in her broken pelvis Day 3)
All we can do is...PRAY! PRAY! PRAY!
Our New Motorcycle Family
There was a motorcycle accident person brought in the day after Sister's accident. We met the family in the waiting room.
WE LOVE THEM!! This hospital has such an incredible positive vibe and great support system.
